Valley is the daughter of Kurt and Teresa Urricelqui. Valley is a graduate of Foothill High School and is currently attending Shasta College. After completing her time at Shasta College, she plans to attend a university to obtain a degree in Agricultural Business Law or Agricultural Education.

Scholarships are available to Shasta County students, current or previously, who are current Farm Bureau members.

The applicant must plan on attending college next year, carrying 12 or more units.


The scholarship is available to both high school seniors and current college students, and is not based on financial need.


Applications must be RECEIVED at the Farm Bureau no later than March 1, 2017. Applications received after that date will not be considered. There are no exceptions.


The recipients will be awarded a Certificate at the Shasta Farm Bureau 21st Annual Spring Social on March 25, 2017 at Win River Casino Event Center.

Jace is the son of Rick and Theresa Neugebauer. He is currently attending Fall River High School. Upon graduation, Jace plans to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and major in Business Administration, Communications and Marketing. He hopes to become a business executive, sales manager or international sales representative.

Wesley Woolery

Wesley is the son of Wes and Ruth Woolery.  He currently attends Fall River High School.  Wes is highly involved in FFA, CA-NV Jr Hereford Association, Western Cattle Dog Association, and is on the Fall River High School Golf Team.  Upon graduation, he plans to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins and major in Agricultural Business.  Wes plans to obtain a career in Marketing and become an Auctioneer.

John Rowe

John is the son of John and Angie Row. John graduated from Foothill High School, and is currently attending Shasta College Studying Rangeland Ecology and Land Resource Management. This next spring, he plans on transferring to CSU Chico to continue completing his degree. Upon graduation, he plans to manage his own ranch while obtaining a career with the California Highway Patrol.

kyle cervantes

Kyle is the son of Eugene and Maureen Cervantes. He graduated from Colusa High School and is now attending Shasta College. He is currently a herdsman at Shasta College farm and formerly worked as a farm hand at Pearson Ranch and an Ag Aid in the Department of Agriculture in Colusa County. Kyle plans to attend Chico State in the fall and major in Agricultural Business.

Erin is the daughter of Kelly and Paul Clendenin. She will be graduating from West Valley High School this spring, and attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo this fall to study Agriculture Communications. Upon graduation, Erin hopes to find a job as an agriculture lobbyist.

Jessica Macdonald
Jessica is the daughter of Tami Grissom and Jim MacDonald. She graduated from West Valley High School, and is currently attending Shasta College in pursuit of an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Heavy Equipment, and Agriculture. Upon graduation, she plans to gain a position operating heavy equipment.

Taylor is the daughter of Tarron and Leslie Corder. She graduated from Fall River High School and attends Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and majors in Agricultural Business. She hopes to one day become a farmer.

Justine Henderson
Justine is the daughter of Troy & Lonnie Henderson.  She graduated from West Valley High School and is now attending California State University, Chico and is majoring in Animal Science.  Justine will be graduating from Chico in May 2017 and plans to obtain a job as an Animal Nutrition Consultant.

Erin is the daughter of Paul and Laura Uncapher.  She graduated from Anderson High School and is currently attending University of California, Davis.  Erin is studying Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology in order to become an Animal Biologist.
